Licella Pty Ltd is a Sydney based technology start up business who have successfully developed a World first and patented Hydro Thermal Liquefaction technology (Cat-HTR) for efficient conversion of biomass and waste materials to bio crude oil. Lignutech was engaged to identify and evaluate the potential market opportunities for the new technology within selected regions and segments within the EU.
The deep dive project followed a systematic process of building an understanding of the technology and its potential, identification of regional or National regulatory frameworks and incentives, understanding of raw materials availability and identification of key potential business eco-system partners.
The project concluded with a series of specific recommendations for action and next steps for each region or country.
The project has led to a number of new cases being considered and Lignutech continues to support Licella in this process.
